Brandeis University Bioinformatics Program

Full Description

Bioinformatics is the multidisciplinary and revolutionary field that uses mathematical, statistical and computing methods to solve complex biological problems.
Bioinformatics techniques are used to analyze the vast amounts of data emerging from technology advances in genome sequencing, genome expression, proteomics and other high-throughput experimental methods.
The Bioinformatics program in the Division of Graduate Professional Studies provides students with comprehensive education across the multiple disciplines of bioinformatics and computational biology, enabling them to directly impact biological research and drug discovery at multiple levels of a research organization.
With program prerequisites that are assessed for each student individually, the program prepares students with backgrounds in engineering, computer science, information technology or life science.
